PKHBA wins Local Home Builders Association of the Year Throughout the conference, several other awards were handed out, including OHBA Local Association of the Year, which was awarded to Peterborough & the Kawarthas. Peterborough & The Kawarthas Celebrates Provincial Excellence OHBA 2022 Awards of Distinction On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 the Ontario Home Builders Association closed out their annual Conference by paying tribute to the achievements of their local Home Builder Association Membership, amid their Awards of Distinction Gala held at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This year, the awards program celebrated a milestone 30th anniversary, honouring building excellence across the province of Ontario. This program recognizes the creativity, innovation and talent of builders, renovators, developers, and agencies within this dynamic industry. The Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes building and renovation industry were proudly represented, with members of the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Home Builders’ Association recognized for their projects across the region. There are 27 Home Builders Associations across Ontario. Peterborough & The Kawarthas HBA is represented on the OHBA board by Garnet Northey, Spotlight Home & Lifestyle, Lakefield. Garnet Northey is the Chair of the Ontario Renovator’s Council, and has volunteered on the OHBA Governance Committee.
